Pals For Life

Pals for life : Toey and the plumber
Blind, deaf dog turns owner into 'biggest baby'
By Jon Mark Beiluemailto:Beiluejon.beilue@amarillo.com

Bobby Hollabaugh's wife Glenda and his two grown sons sometimes wonder what's gotten into him and his relationship with that dog. Hollabaugh sometimes wonders himself what's gotten into him.

"I can't really explain it," he said, "but I was totally smitten the first time I saw her."
Hollabaugh is the owner of H & H Plumbing. Toey is a 3½-year-old dachshund, slightly unusual in that she's not red or black, but spotted.

Oh, and blind and deaf, too. A dog that can't see or hear and a plumber may not sound like a match made in heaven, but try telling that to those who know the two.

"It's changed his life," Glenda said. "He used to be a grouchy old man, and now the dog has turned him into the biggest baby. He's like a big ol' kid. He loves it like a child. I can't tell you how much he loves that dog."

It's The Easter Beagle

Sorry I haven’t posted in awhile. My master has not been home much lately. Here are some items you should enjoy.

Space Dog

There are some GREAT upcoming opportunities to see the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station. For the Amarillo area here are the next sighting opportunities.

(click on the chart for a better view)

You will notice that the 3 best durations are on March 25th, 26th and 29th. The 26th it will fly almost directly over head! This is really cool to see. All of these times are in the evening so call your friends and neighbors and watch the space station and docked space shuttle fly over head.

If you don’t live in the Amarillo area click Human Space Flight, then click on your state and then on a city near where you live and it will give you a viewing chart for your location.

Country Dogs

Yep, country dogs are special. This is a great read on a blog done by a friend of my masters. Click Panhandle Poetry to see the story.

Nothings Better Than Nap Time

I don’t mind sharing my chair with someone who is warm and loving.

They say I snore when I sleep. I don’t think so but watch the video below and make your own conclusion.
